By accessing or using SoulLock.gg ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
SoulLock.gg is a community platform for Deadlock players that provides player statistics tracking, reputation reviews, messaging, a Looking for Group (LFG) board, hero guides, and live match and camp timers. The Service includes the SoulLock.gg website and an optional desktop companion application (see Section 14). The Service is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Valve Corporation.
You must be at least 13 years of age to use the Service. If you are under 18, you represent that your parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
You may create an account using Steam, Google, or email/password authentication. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.
You may claim a Deadlock player profile by verifying ownership of the associated Steam account. Each Steam account may only be claimed by one SoulLock account.
"User Content" means any content you submit, including reviews, messages, LFG posts, and profile information. You retain ownership of your User Content, but grant SoulLock.gg a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute your User Content in connection with the Service.
You agree not to submit User Content that:
We reserve the right to remove any User Content and suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, at our sole discretion.
Reviews are intended to reflect genuine experiences with other players. Once submitted, reviews are immutable and cannot be edited. Reviews must be about in-game behavior and must not contain personal attacks, hate speech, or discriminatory content. Abuse of the review system may result in account termination.
SoulLock.gg may offer a paid Pro membership with additional features. Payment terms, billing cycles, and cancellation policies will be presented at the time of purchase. Pro features are provided "as is" and may change over time.
The Service, including its design, code, logos, and branding, is owned by SoulLock.gg. Deadlock, Steam, and related trademarks are the property of Valve Corporation. All game data is used under Valve's community guidelines.
The Service integrates with third-party services including Steam (Valve Corporation), Google (authentication, hosting, and analytics), Google AdSense (advertising), Stripe (payment processing for Pro memberships), Discord (optional account linking and delivery of queue-alert direct messages), and Amazon Web Services (Amazon SNS, used to deliver queue-alert text messages). The optional Desktop App downloads its updates from an update server we host on Google Cloud. Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THE ACCURACY OF PLAYER STATISTICS, MMR ESTIMATES, OR ANY GAME DATA.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SOULLOCK.GG AND ITS OPERATORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES RESULTING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless SoulLock.gg, its operators, and affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the Service, your User Content, or your violation of these Terms.
We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violations of these Terms or for any other reason at our discretion. You may delete your account at any time through the Settings page. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.
SoulLock.gg offers an optional desktop companion application (the "Desktop App") for Windows that provides features the browser cannot, such as live match and camp timers, an in-game overlay, and automatic discovery of your own match history. Installation and use of the Desktop App is entirely voluntary; the website remains fully usable without it.
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the Desktop App on devices you own or control, solely for your personal, non-commercial use with the Service. You may not reverse-engineer, decompile, redistribute, resell, or create derivative works of the Desktop App except to the extent this restriction is prohibited by applicable law. The Desktop App may download and install updates automatically to keep it secure and compatible.
The Desktop App reads data locally on your device in order to provide its features.
That includes the Deadlock game's local console log files, Steam's local cache, and,
where you explicitly enable the optional Live Game Reader, the Deadlock game's memory
on a read-only basis. If you ask it to set live tracking up for you, it also adds the
-condebug launch option to Deadlock's entry in Steam's local configuration
file, keeping a backup of that file; that is the only file it modifies, and uninstalling
the Desktop App does not undo it. Details of what
is read, what is used only on your device, and
what is sent to us are described in our
Privacy Policy. By installing the Desktop App you consent
to this local data access.
The Desktop App and its overlay are informational tools only. They do not modify the Deadlock game, inject code into it, write to the game's memory, or automate gameplay, and they are not a cheat, hack, or third-party automation tool. The optional Live Game Reader, only when you explicitly enable it, reads the game's memory on a read-only basis to display public match information already visible to you in-game; it does not write to memory, modify the game, or reveal information hidden from you. You are responsible for ensuring your use of the Desktop App, its overlay, the Live Game Reader, and any companion software complies with Valve Corporation's Steam Subscriber Agreement, the Deadlock rules, and any applicable anti-cheat policies. SoulLock.gg is not affiliated with or endorsed by Valve Corporation and is not responsible for any action taken against your game or Steam account.
Experimental features; assumption of risk. The Live Game Reader is an experimental, alpha-stage feature that may stop working or behave incorrectly, including after Deadlock updates. As with any third-party tool that interacts with a game, its use carries inherent risk. SoulLock.gg does not warrant that it will not be detected or flagged by Valve or any anti-cheat system, and you use it entirely at your own risk and discretion. This allocation of risk continues to apply even if Valve Corporation or any anti-cheat provider later changes, reinterprets, or begins enforcing its rules or policies differently — including with retroactive effect — and even if a use that was permitted or tolerated at the time you enabled the Live Game Reader is subsequently prohibited or treated as a violation. You must not enable it until you have read and accepted the in-app notice shown before activation.
The Desktop App is provided "as is" and is subject to the disclaimers and limitation of liability in Sections 10 and 11. You may uninstall the Desktop App at any time through your operating system.
We may update these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes by posting the updated Terms with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration or in the courts of competent jurisdiction.
